Knoxville:
Knoxville is nestled in the Appalachian valley and easily accessible via air, bus, and car. McGhee Tyson Airport is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Knoxville and has many direct and connecting flights. Additionally, there is a Greyhound Bus Station located in downtown Knoxville.

For those flying in, Green Car offers shuttle service from the airport to downtown hotels for $40 roundtrip per person.

All venues and major downtown hotels are within walking distance of each other. There is also a bus and trolley system serving the downtown area.

Driving Directions:
Knoxville is easily accessible by automobile.  Located at the crossroads of I-40 and I-75, it is an easy 3 hour drive from Nashville, 4 hours from Louisville or Cincinnati, and only 3.5 hours from Atlanta or Charlotte.  Driving directions here.

There are reduced rates at the Crowne Plaza (the host hotel for Big Ears) and the Hilton.  When making your reservation be sure to mention you’re attending the Big Ears Festival otherwise you will not get the reduced rate.
