The mission of BIG EARS is to offer an exciting and dynamic platform of musical and artistic discovery, presenting a variety of adventurous, exploratory concerts and performances, installations, discussions, and interactive experiences by artists possessed of singular and unique visions that stand apart from the mainstream.

The mission of the Bijou Theatre is to provide an excellent performance venue for the Knoxville community at reasonable cost for presentations including local jazz ensembles, smaller choral groups, solo and small instrumental groups, student opera productions, local musical theater. In addition, the Bijou strives to bring special cultural and entertainment events that will enrich the lives of East Tennesseans, stimulate cultural diversity, promote the growth of downtown, and reflect excellence in the performing arts.

Since May 2000 The Pilot Light has been Knoxville's home for experimental and independent music, film, and performance. The club has played host to well over 1900 different local, national, and international bands (many of them multiple times) since inception. It's an all-volunteer operation bringing it here for you. Over the years it has become Knoxville's premier club to find a new favorite band.

The Knoxville Museum of Art collects, exhibits, and interprets outstanding works by artists of regional, national, and international significance; provides diverse audiences with opportunities for learning and personal growth; and serves as a community gathering and celebration place. The KMA's landmark facility, designed by renowned architect Edward Larrabee Barnes and opened to the public in 1990, overlooks World's Fair Park in downtown Knoxville.

The Square Room is a new, state-of-the-art performance venue in downtown Knoxville, TN in the Historic Market Square district. It is housed in the rear of the 4 Market Square Building along with it’s counterpart Café 4, a full-service restaurant and coffee bar. The Square Room provides an intimate stage that showcases international, national, and regional touring acts in multiple genres of music. From singer-songwriters to modern rockers and jazz legends to the stars of the local scene, we believe that great music deserves a great audience.

During the festival, the 5th floor of the Woodruff Building will become a hub of interaction and exchanges. The Bob Moog Foundation will have their interactive MoogLab set up all weekend long, Philip Glass will be doing a question and answer session, Pauline Oliveros will walk us through the process of Deep Listening, and much, much more!
